In spite of my trials and tribulations I've shed over 50 lbs of fat, I've competed in a bodybuilding competition - placing 2nd - and I'm now living on the beautiful island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean. I feel on top of the world.
So rather than my focus continue to be on shedding fat and the weight of my adversities, it's time to shift gears. It's time to focus on:
- Living life to the fullest - no if, ands or buts!
- Finding and maintaining balance in all aspects of my life
- Sustaining a healthy, active lifestyle
What do I mean by 'YOU'?
By you, I mean I am devoting myself to helping others not only transform their lives physically, but mental too. I want to help change the world. It may seem like a stretch, or as some might say over-ambitious, but I have to try. I know I do.
I look around today and I see life being taken for granted. I see priorities completely astray and I see a lot of unhealthy people who are sad deep down inside. I also see a lot of children suffering from teasing and secretly battling depression, and likewise I see the same in emotionally damaged adults. My list goes on. From couples facing infertility and people experiencing traumatic accidents to humans - any age, race, gender, sex - feeling like outcasts and questioning their purpose. These is so much pain, so much sorrow and too much hurt that life, something so precious and exciting, frequently passes people by.
Unfortunately and fortunately, I can relate to every one of those scenarios. And although I reached a point in my life where I thought all hope was lost, I decided to change. I decided to take control of my feelings, my journey and my body. I exhaled the anguish and decided to elevate my life and I want to help other people to the same.
